InpEV, National Institute for Processing Empty Containers is a nonprofit organization that represents the Crop Protection Industry in its responsibility to provide proper disposal to agrochemical containers. The Institute was founded on December 14, 2001 and started operating in March 2002.
The Institute was created after the approval of
Law 9.974/00, which regulates the collection and disposal of agrochemical containers. The Law apportions responsibilities throughout the agricultural chain, to
farmers,
distributors,
manufacturers and the government.
Mission
InpEV is a nonprofit organization that leads the scheme for disposal of empty containers in Brazil, providing manufacturers, distributors and farmers with support and guidance in the compliance with their legal responsibilities, promoting education & awareness to protect the environment and human health and supporting the technological development of containers for the agricultural market.
