It is known that 95% of the 28.700 tons of agrochemicals containers annually traded (database 2003) can be recycled, as long as they are correctly rinsed, and only 5% of this amount have to be incinerated due to the packaging profile.

Reciclaje e IncineraciónThe Program for disposal of containers currently has 8 recycling companies as partners in charge of recovering rinsed and returned containers. Together, those companies, located in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Santa Catarina and Mato Grosso, manufacture 16 different articles.

Before 2002, inpEV had only two recycling partners.

Reciclaje e IncineraciónNon-rinsable* and non-rinsed containers are forwarded to incineration. The incinerating companies licensed to operate for the program are located in São Paulo.

*Containers accommodating non-water-soluble products, flexible or secondary packaging (plastic bags, packages of products for treatment of seeds and cardboard boxes)
