Nature needs you
In order to orientate farmers about the procedures for empty containers return, inpEV has developed an educational campaign called "Nature needs you" which has two stages: "Rinse me" and "Return me". Both of them are directed towards farmer's education and awareness on about their responsibility to rinse and return crop protection products empty containers per
Federal Law 9.974/00.
The campaign has an educational content and a didactic format based on Questions & Answers television live shows. A character has been especially created for it: a scarecrow called Olímpio, which asks participants (farmers) about proper procedures to rinse and return containers.
Made up of 25 characters, the show's audience represents some of Brazilian's main agricultural crops such as corn, tomato, sugarcane, as well as other elements found in nature and also domestic animals, which are given voice and body language to make farmers aware of container's returning importance.
"Rinse me" stage was broadcasted in 2004 and 2005. "Return me" stage was broadcasted by several television companies all over Brazil in-between May and July 2005 through a partnership with the federal government through the Ministry of Agriculture.
